Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga Dunes.
5 days Fes to Marrakech desert trip departure: After breakfast, we will leave for Merzouga through the Middle Atlas region. We will drive through Ifrane, the “Switzerland” of Morocco, and the cedar forests of Azrou, where we can stop to feed the monkeys. We will continue to Midelt where we will have lunch. Then we will follow the Ziz River through the valley and stop to see the Ziz Gorges on our way to Merzouga.
Day 2: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga
After breakfast, you will make a great tour of the dunes passing through the 2 oases of MERZOUGA, the nomadic deposit along the desert routes, the town of KHAMLIA (town of the blacks) the MIFISS mines, the desert dishes, a meeting of the barbarian nomads of the desert, the TISSARDMINE oasis, and return to the hostel at 3 in the afternoon for the departure of their caravan in dromedary in order to attend the sunset in the dunes. You will spend the night in a wild oasis located 1 hour and a half away in the full desert. Night under the Berber tent.
Day 3: Erg Chebbi – Rissani – Todra Gorges
We will get up early in the morning to see the incredible sunrise over the dunes and then return to your hotel in Merzouga.
After breakfast, we will leave for Todra Gorges and Tinghir, which is one of the highlights of the southern plateau that divides the High Atlas of Jebel Saghro, where there is a crystalline river that emerges from the deep ocher and pink rock formations that offer A spectacular landscape and great photographic opportunities, we will continue to Boumalne for dinner and overnight in a hotel.
Day 4: Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, we begin our journey along the road of 1000 Thousand Kasbahs, since there are enormous kasbahs on both sides of the road. Some of those old fortified houses are restored but unfortunately, a lot of them are ruins. We pass through Dades Valley and go up to the mountainous area through an off-road trail where many Berber villages and a few nomads live in caves, here we will have the chance to visit one of these families and take a look at their daily life and their main activity Looking after herds of goats sheep. We will be impressed by the landscapes of the colorful rose valley before we reach Skoura palm grove. 45km further, we reach Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – High Atlas – Marrakech
After breakfast, we will visit Taourirt Kasbah before departing to Ait Benhaddou to visit the World Heritage Site. We will continue with a visit to the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet and the Kasbah el Glaoui. We will have lunch in a local restaurant in Telouet before descending the Tizi-n-Tichka to Marrakech.
